Following in family tradition, I discovered a passion for sports at an early age. I was a serious and accomplished athlete. Moving forward, I found my love for musical expression. Both of these influences culminated from family background, to which I carried throughout my life.
The majority of my adult life has focused on a “technical” fascination that became my chosen profession. For the past 27 years I have worked in the field of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition). So, in essence, I am a geek that loves sports and music (primarily jazz).
For the past three years I have been employed by New Jersey’s largest Electrical Utility within the SCADA Engineering group (System Reliability) identified as Electrical Management Systems, focusing on the Distribution side.
My initial background skills involved hardware and has evolved into software configuration (systems, communications, remote terminal units, etc.). Basically, I think of myself as a “meatball” hacker, using my skills for boolean logic, configuration to make SCADA devices communicate from point A to point B while reporting data.
